The 2023 SkillsUSA NM Fall Leadership Conference will be the second year Doña Ana Community College hosts our event. We are excited to provide both students and advisors with opportunities for professional development. Over a day and a half, chapter members from across the state will participate in leadership development and framework/program of work sessions. We will also be able to provide an opportunity for students to earn the NM Statesman Award.

Review the Conference Guide and register your chapter today!  The Conference Guide contains all the details you need to get started, including hotel block information. Blocks of rooms are being held at the Holiday Inn Express Las Cruces North, Fairfield Inn Las Cruces, and the TownePlace Suites Las Cruces.

Statesman Award: To help your students prepare for the Statesman Award, download the study guides here: Level I or Level II.

Pin Design: The annual Pin Design Contest for the 2024 State Leadership and Skills Conference is now open!  The purpose of this contest is to evaluate a contestant’s creative, technical, and written presentation skills and to recognize outstanding students for excellence and professionalism. The competition is open to all active SkillsUSA student members. Advisors:  Please submit design and written statement to [email protected] by Monday, November 6, 2023 – Pin Design Contest Rules

Where:  Doña Ana Community College (DACC) East Mesa Campus (please see campus map)
CostFree for the first 200 attendees, and $100 per person for additional attendees. Should your chapter have more than 15 participants, or you would like to add more registrants to your chapter list, please check with the State Director before submitting registrations to verify free attendee eligibility at [email protected] or 505-385-5000. Registration includes a t-shirt, breakfast and lunch on Saturday.

2:45 – 4:00 p.m. Leadership Development – Students & Advisors, Statesman Award Examinations, Pin Design Ballott Count
4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Closing Session – Students & Advisors
