We are excited to announce, Anna Wilson, of FMS CATE Center as our 2020 SkillsUSA New Mexico Advisor of the Year.
As the Lead Advisor, Ms. Wilson has been phenomenal in getting the CATE Center involved and active in Welding, Culinary, and Automotive career pathways of SkillsUSA. With Ms. Wilson’s leadership, in 2019 and 2020, the FMS CATE Center received a Chapter of Excellence distinction.
Because of Ms. Wilson’s enthusiasm and drive, her colleagues and students are motivated to be involved with SkillsUSA throughout the year, participating in school and state SkillsUSA events. Ms. Wilson has taken many successful teams to state and national competitions. One of her students stated: “Without her I wouldn’t know about SkillsUSA. Now I have job opportunities, scholarships and college placements that I wouldn’t have without being in SkillsUSA… I wouldn’t be where I am today without Ms. Wilson’s help and knowledge.”
Ms. Wilson absolutely loves working with young people and her energy is infectious – her time, energy, and enthusiasm are equaled by none.
